Creatine Supplement 24 Hour Steady StreamTM Time Release Formula
Elite athletes have used creatine since the 1950s, yet it
wasn.t until a 1992 publication that the rest of the world
learned about its incredible benefits[1]. Since that time hundreds of studies have been conducted and thousands of articles have been written about how creatine supplements can improve physical performance and health. Creatine supplementation increases strength[2], jumping ability[3],
speed[4], and enhances gains in strength and muscle mass from weight training[5, 6]. While various forms of
creatine products have come and gone on the market, none have truly revolutionized the industry. That is about to change. Introducing the next stage of the creatine revolution: MyoSportTM Duo-Phase Time Released Creatine.
What.s so revolutionary about MyoSportTM? For starters it contains 10 g of pure creatine monohydrate per serving. That.s up to 500% more than other creatine
products. Normally only about 20% of creatine is absorbed into the blood[1],
so your body never even sees the other 80%. MyoSportTM Duo-Phase Time Released Creatine is scientifically formulated to release creatine in specific amounts at defined intervals
throughout the day. The result: You absorb more of the creatine you buy and you don.t waste money!
The advantages of time released.
To decrease the frequency with which the person has to take the dosage form to obtain the desired effect.
The severity or frequency of side effects may be reduced by the administration of a prolonged action dosage form.
Prolonged action release mechanisms may produce more constant blood levels.
A decrease in the total dose used to produce the same pharmacological response.
The are the advantages of MyoSportTM
time released creatine.
The biggest advantage is that MyoSportTM decreases the frequency of the dosage of creatine monohydrate. Clinical studies have proven over and over that you get the best results when taking creatine 3-4X daily. Hence the loading phase. MyoSportsTM once a day dose fuels the body.s muscle groups with creatine 24 hours a day, eliminating the need to load. The load is built into every dose.
Convenience.
Most people are forgetful or too convenience oriented
to remember to take something 3 or 4X a day. Drug companies utilize time release formulas in order to combat this problem. If you achieve better compliance by religiously taking the product in the correct dose, you get better results.
The pharmaceutical industry has proven through clinical studies that you can decrease the total dose used to produce the desired pharmacological response.
The ingestion of a creatine supplement can increase the body.s natural pool of creatine appreciably. In fact, concentrations ofcreatine in the body.s muscle groups can vary almost twofold, from 0.3% to 0.5%. Time releasing creatine allows the body to replenish the creatine pool at a more constant level.
In muscle, both creatine and creatine phosphate undergo a non-reversible chemical reaction to form creatinine. Unlike creatine, creatinine is not retained in the muscle, but is cleared from the body by the kidney (in urination). This is done at a constant rate. In fact,
urinary output of creatinine is used as a measure of total muscle mass in the body. In a nutshell, the creatine-phosphocreatine cycle is an ongoing process. Your body tries to keep constant levels of ATP,
creatine and creatine phosphate for fuel utilization by skeletal mus-cle. During exercise your body uses ATP very quickly. When the pool is depleted, creatine phosphate and ADP regenerate ATP. This happens over and over all day long. That is why it makes sense to have a time release creatine. MyoSportTMis constantly replenishing your creatine pool.
Why does MyoSportTM contain carbohydrates?
It has been shown in many studies that the ingestion of 20 g of creatine for 5 to 6 days increases the total creatine load carried by your muscles groups up to 20%. A subsequent dose of 2-5 grams of creatine is enough for maintenance of this increased concentration, and is safe as it hardly exceeds the normal dietary intake of creatine. But when creatine is ingested in a carbohydrate
containing solution, the increase in muscle total creatine has been suggested to be an amazing 30%. The bottom line is oral ingestion of a carbohydrate-creatine solution increases the creatine pool much more than creatine alone.
What is the advantage of a precise buffering system?
It is critical for the body to maintain an acid-base balance. If the body's pH is out of balance it can not work properly, and eventually can lead to many disease states. One of the ways the body prevents changes in hydrogen concentrations is by buffering. These buffers, which are primarily weak acids, are able to take up or release
hydrogen so that there is minimal change in the body's pH, thus keeping an acid-base balance. Phosphates are very effective buffers in the body. The incorporation of our buffering system helps to maintain intramuscular pH, which is very important in delaying fatigue.
DUO-PHASE RELEASE PATTERN*
In Phase 1 . 50% (or 5 grams) of creatine is released along with dextrose. The dextrose stimulates insulin which helps to maximize creatine uptake[7].
In Phase 2 . 50% (or 5 grams) of creatine is released over the next 24 hours in the intestine. The elevated blood creatine levels will help you increase performance and recover from exercise.[8]
What is time released? There are three classifications of time released formulas:
Sustained release- Designed to release rapidly some predetermined fraction (loading phase) of a dose into the gastro intestinal tract. This fraction is an amount of the drug that produces the desired pharmacological response. The remaining fraction of the dose (maintenance dose) is released as rapidly as is required to maintain constant, the initial pharmacological activity for a determined period of time.
Prolonged release- The loading phase makes the drug available to the body in amounts sufficient to produce the desired pharmacological response. Such dosage forms also provide for replenishing the supply of the drug to the body at some predetermined rate that
extends the length of time the pharmacological response can be maintained when compared to a usual single dose formula.
Repeat Action- Designed to release initially, the equivalent of a single dose, with an additional single dose at some later time.
Recommended Dosage: As a dietary supplement, take MyoSportTM immeidiately upon awakening from sleep, dissolve one packet of MyoSportTM Complex Creatine Supplement in 8 ounces of cold water. Stir, drink immeidiately.
